NDLEA Nabs Deaf, Dumb Suspect For Dealing In Illicit Substances, Recovers 546,700 Pills

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended a male suspect who is deaf and dumb for engaging in the illicit drug trade in the Samaru area of Zaria, Kaduna State.

According to the NDLEA, 150 grams of cannabis were recovered from the suspect while selling the psychoactive substance.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy.

Babafemi also announced that another suspect, Ibrahim Sani, 56, was also arrested in possession of 51 kilograms of the same substance at the Tirkaniya area of the State.

“A male deaf and dumb suspect dealing in illicit substances has been arrested at Samaru area of Zaria, Kaduna state. At the time of his arrest, 150 grams of cannabis were recovered from him while selling the psychoactive substance.

“Another suspect, Ibrahim Sani, 56, was also arrested in possession of 51 kilograms of the same substance at the Tirkaniya area of the state,” part of the statement read.
