Sen. President Lawan assures on structured oversight Functions

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, hosting Senate Press Corps in Abuja on Wednesday said that the ninth Senate will structure oversight functions under his leadership.

Lawan in an interaction with the Senate Press Corps during a courtesy visit, explained that the Senate will take a more transparent and coordinated approach in monitoring the performance of cabinet ministers, when selected, to ensure they strictly implement the Next Level agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Chairman of the Senate Press Corps, Ezrel Tabiowo, was said to have congratulated Lawan on his election as President of the Senate and Chairman of the Ninth National Assembly.

Ezrel further solicited support of the Senate for the launch of the West African Parliamentary Press Corps in July.
