Tinubu appoints Oyetola, Bagudu, Lalong, Metawalle, 15 others as ministers

President Bola Tinubu has appointed fresh 19 ministerial nominees.

The new ministerial nominees include: Ahmed Tijani, Dr Isiaka Salako, Dr Tunji Alausa, Tanko Sunisi, Atiku Bagudu, Bello Metawalle, Ibrahim Gaidam, Simon Lalong, Lola Ade John, Prince Abubbakar Audu, Senator Sabi Abdullahi, Alkali Samani, Senator Henekeins Lokpobori, and Gboyega Oyetola.

Five of the new ministerial nominees are former governors — Oyetola (Osun), Lalong (Plateau), Matawalle (Zamfara) and Gaidam (Yobe).

Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the Presidential communication at plenary on Wednesday, August 2nd.

Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, brought in the communication from the President during plenary while a ministerial nominee, Lateef Fagbemi, was being screened on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
