Sirajo Saidu, a staunch supporter of the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari, has applauded the new petrol price, stating that the sum of N700 per litre is very affordable.
Saidu, who is known on social media for attacking critics of Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated this in a Facebook post on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, following the hike in the pump price of petrol by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and other oil marketers across the country.
“The price of petrol 700 is very affordable in Nigeria. The opposite of other African countries. Any patriot will be happy with this,” he wrote.
Recall that Saidu had publicly dumped Buhari after bandits kidnapped his five brothers in Sokoto State and no one helped him and his family members to raise the ransom.
However, he later took to Facebook to reiterate his support for Buhari, vowing that only death will separate him from the former President.
