Three members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) travelling to Abuja for the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly on Tuesday (tomorrow) have died in a fatal motor accident on Monday.
Breaking the sad need, a source from the party said that the victims were travelling in an 18-seater bus when the vehicle had a head-on collusion with another bus at Agbor in Delta state.
The source disclosed that some other occupants of the bus who were wounded have been taken to a nearby hospital around the close to the location of the accident for proper medical examination and treatment.
The identity of those who lost their lives were only given as, “two males from Amaraku community in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of the state and a female from Ogbor community in the same Isiala Mbano LGA died in the auto crash”.
In another instance, the victims were described as coordinators of some senator -elects and federal lawmaker elects from the state who were on their way to Abuja to grace the induction of the 10th National Assembly.
An APC member from Imo state described the accident and the lives lost as “a sad development. The party is saddened by the development. It is a sad commentary and we pray God accepts their souls.”
But ,the spokesperson for the APC in the state, Cajetan Duke, while confirming the sad development said that only two persons rather have been confirmed dead by the party.
