Seven Facts About Veteran Nigerian Actress, Ngozi Ezeonu As She Clocks 58

Ngozi Ezeonu, the veteran Nollywood actress, has clocked 58 years old today, 23 May 2023.

She is certainly an old horse in the movie industry in Nigeria.

Anyone familiar with the movie industry in Nigeria must know Ezeonu for her excellent roles in movies, an experience she has garnered right from when she was young.

The ageless actress had taken to her Instagram page on Tuesday to thank God for sparing her life, saying “Happy birthday to me. THANK YOU LORD.”

In another post, she said “Thank you Lord for showing me Mercy.”

1. Ezeonu was born on 23 May, 1965 in Owerri, Imo State

2.  She studied Journalism at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and worked for Radio Lagos and Eko FM before venturing into the Nollywood

3. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 8th Africa Movie Academy Awards in her role in Adesuwa in 2012.

4. Ezeonu began her acting career as a younger person in 1993, when veteran film director Zeb Ejiro offered her a supporting role as Nkechi, the antagonist’s best friend in the Igbo blockbuster Nneka the Pretty Serpent in 1994.

5. She also starred in the movie, Glamour Girls  in 1994 as Thelma, a high society mistress.

6. Ezeonu has acted in over 150 movies in Nollywood.
