Buhari, Tinubu mourn APC’s NWC member Nwosu

President Muhammadu Buhari and the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have joined the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to mourn the death of the National Welfare Secretary of the party, Friday Nwosu. In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, President Buhari noted that the death of Nwosu has created a vacuum in the catering segment of the ruling party.

“President Muhammadu Buhari shares in the pain of loss with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the passing of the National Welfare Secretary, Friday Nwosu. President Buhari condoles with family members, friends and associates of the lawyer, who served the party and country diligently, remarkably handling affairs of members with care, especially during the campaigns and elections,” the statement said.

Tinubu, in a statement by his media aide, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz on Friday, condoled with the family and colleagues of Nwosu, saying his death had left a gaping hole in the party. “I received with shock and grief the news of the sudden death of Chief Nwosu. He was a dedicated party man and a leader who paid his dues for the success of the party. I join friends and family in grieving this sudden loss of a man who had worked so well for our great party. His sacrifices and contributions to the growth of democracy and our party will be cherished for a long time,” he said.

The president-elect prayed for the soul of the deceased and for God to grant succour to his family.
