Dele Momodu, a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), acknowledged Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, as a third force in Nigeria’s politics on Tuesday.
Although Momodu is now supporting Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s presidential candidate for the February 25 election, he said that Obi is having difficulty because a presidential race is not a sprint but a marathon that takes time to develop.
Momodu stated during a Channels Television election program, “The 2023 Verdict,” that there are three main political forces in Nigeria: Atiku Abubakar, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Peter Obi.
Momodu, who considers himself a democrat, declined to judge Obi’s political force, but said that only his candidate, Atiku, has what it takes to improve the country. He criticized Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi, saying they lack the ability to improve Nigeria.
