Cameroonian military arrest Biafra League Black Marine Commander

The Cameroonian force, the Rapid d’intervention Battalion (BIR), on Thursday arrested the Commander of Biafra Nations League (BnL), Henry Edet, in the Bakassi Peninsula, over the activities of the BnL militant group, Black Marine, in the territory. The Black Marine was said to have eliminated several Cameroonian soldiers at different times.

National Daily gathered that the Rapid d’intervention Battalion (BIR), arrested Edet at his home in Atabong East, part of Nigerian territory in the Bakassi Peninsula ceded to Cameroon and located in the South West Region of Cameroon.

The Black Marine operates in the creeks of the Bakassi Peninsula and the Gulf of Guinea.
