President Muhammadu Buhari has been confronted and called a criminal for ordering the killing of innocent Nigerians by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, also known as Shiites.

This happened when thousands of members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria and some youth from the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, stormed the National Mosque, Abuja, to demand the freedom of Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and wife, Zeenah El-Zakzaky.

President Buhari had come to the mosque to observe his Juma’at prayer, as part of activities lined up for the May 29 inauguration, when the Shiites and some youths marched around the mosque.

In a video shared on social media, the Shittes could be seen at the gate of the National Mosque, Abuja, on Friday demanding the release of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, and his wife, Zeenah, who had been in detention since 2015.

They were, however, blocked from entering the mosque by Police and Soldiers protecting the President. Buhari was smuggled out from the mosque by heavily armed military men.

Some security operatives could be seen stationed at the huge gate, but the Shiites swore that even if they are killed, they will continue to protest.
