Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Alkali is currently in a meeting with Commissioners of Police and heads of police formations, in Abuja.

Usman Baba Alkali In Meeting With CPs, Others Over Election

This meeting is to enable them to strategise on the forthcoming polls and the security situation in the country.

The meeting is taking place at the Force Headquarters.

It is being attended by CPs, Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Deputy Inspectors General of Police, and other top-ranked police officers.

Reports say the major focus of the meeting is election security towards the 2023 general elections, and an improvement on the security architecture of the country, to checkmate criminals and nip criminal activities in the bud.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar mourned the death of Nigeria’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Ademola Rasaq Seriki.
