The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has boasted that its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar will get a record number of votes in the South-West geopolitical zone.

South-West is the stronghold of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (PDP).

Speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Dr. Daniel Bwala, legal expert and one of the spokesmen of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council said there is no way the people of the South- West will give their votes to the APC which he labeled as ‘damaged goods and expired’.

Speaking further, Bwala said aside the South-West will vote massively for Atiku because of the PDP’s agenda of restructuring Nigeria which has always been the demand of the South West region.

“The PDP and our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar have strong chances because of two things. One, APC is a damaged goods and expired as reflected in the widespread discontent by Nigerians”.

“Electronics transmission of result has taken out monopolies by governors to deliver their candidates; that’s why APC lost Osun even with incumbency, Asiwaju’s and Omisore combined”

“Above all the plan and agenda of PDP resonates with the south west demand for restructuring”.
