Bolane Austen-Peters’ ‘The Bling Lagosians’ Gets A June Release Date

A few months ago, we learnt that that the talented Bolanle Austen-Peters will be making her directorial debut with the star-studded The Bling Lagosians. Following an exciting trailer, we finally have a release date for the film, and we’re understandably pumped. 

With a robust cast that includes Toyin Abraham, Jide Kosoko, Bisola Aiyeola, Denola Grey and more, the film immediately caught our attention, and now, we know that it be hitting cinemas nationwide on June 28. 

The Bling Lagosians tells the funny and dramatic story of a powerful Lagos socialite planning a flamboyant and expensive birthday party, while her husband struggles to prevent their family’s huge debt from being exposed. 

Bolanle Austen-Peters revealed that she wants the film to mirror the reality of her Lagos experience, and the previously released trailer shows this. The trailer reveals the party preparations, showing the robust cast as they carry out their day-to-day.
