Yesterday, Sarz took to Twitter to ask his fans for their top five beats by him. After responses that spanned from “Kondo” to “Come Closer”, Sarz then took a dive into his vaults, uncovering one of his most embarrassing memories, as he re-listened to Patoranking and Wizkid‘s “This Kind Love”.
Listening to This kind love by Patoranking ft Wizkid and I remember one of the most awkward moments in my career happened with this song..

Although “This Kind Love” came off Patoranking’s 2016 album, God Over Everything, Wizkid’s vocals were the first to colour the infectious Sarz-produced beat, with Patoranking’s verses arriving later, and to the disapproval of the song’s beatsmith.
After lying to Patoranking that he thought the completed track was “mad”, Sarz later admitted to Wizkid that he thought the dancehall star’s verses were “full dead”. Unbeknownst to Sarz, he was on speaker and Patoranking heard the entire exchange, making for a very awkward moment.
Despite Sarz’s reservations, “This Kind Love” emerged as the most indelible track from the Patoranking tape. While we can all agree that Wizkid’s contributions are ace as usual, Patoranking’s verses are an imperative part of what makes the song so great
Going on three years later, Sarz publicly concedes, telling us he must have been crazy to think Patoranking’s incredible performance was anything but. We are so pleased that Sarz’s criticism didn’t deter Patoranking from releasing this banger.
