At the start of 2017, Jidenna released his debut album, The Chief, home to gems like “Little Bit More” and “Bambi”. Shortly after, he dropped a star-studded EP, Boomerang, which saw him give “Little Bit More” a second run, inviting Burna Boy on for the remix.

With a few hands on the original production of the track — Mark Williams, Nana Kwabena, Jidenna and Roman GianArthur — it is no surprise that “Little Bit More”, one of Jidenna’s best songs, boasts such an incredibly vibrant and infectious beat.

To introduce the remix, Burna colours the opening of the bubbly beat, singing lyric-less notes, before Jidenna takes over with the song’s unforgettable hook. On the track, Jidenna and Burna encourage their respective admirers to come home with them.

The original “Little Bit More” is an undeniable bop, but Burna’s well-placed verse on the remix, unsurprisingly, upgrades the track, fusing his usual rustic fire effortlessly into the song’s dance beat. It’s a shame that many more people didn’t get to hear it.
