Funeral Service Of Train Attack Victim, Chinelo Megafu Begins [PHOTOS]

Dr. Chinelo Megafu, 29, was shot in the ill-fated Abuja–Kaduna train attack on March 28. Her funeral is being held at Shepherdhill Baptist Church in Obanikoro, Lagos.

Megafu will be laid to rest today, April 21, at the Ebony Private Cemetery in Ikoyi, Lagos, following a requiem service.

The terrorists who assaulted the train shot the dental surgeon. Her most recent tweet was announcing that she had been shot. “I’m on my way to work.” I’ve been shot. Please keep me in your prayers,” she wrote.

Megafu received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Port Harcourt in 2016. She served in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at the Kaduna State Dental Centre and at St Gerrard’s Hospital in Kakuri.

According to a friend of hers, Megafu had perfected plans to relocate abroad for a better life before her death.

“Dr Chinelo was making an honest living, she was working at St Gerald’s hospital in Kaduna, she wanted more for herself and processed her papers to leave this hell-hole.

“She resigned last month to leave the country this Friday then this happened. Nigeria why???” Steph Adamu posted to Twitter.
