Last month, Burna Boy appeared on Sway Calloway’s popular radio show, Sway In The Morning, dishing out a commendable freestyle and discussing topics such as African culture, his new EP and drug abuse in Nigeria.
In the interview, Burna Boy also gave a shoutout to South African rap sensation, Nasty C, who has now shared the clip with a hint that we might be getting a collaboration from the two African behemoths really soon.
In the interview with Sway, Burna Boy declared that Nasty C is currently his favourite rapper of all time, slightly alluding to the potential collaboration with his words, “you’ll probably see me with Nasty”. Nasty C has now confirmed the collaboration on social media.
Resharing the clip of Burna’s interview on Instagram, Nasty C captioned it:
“Love to the African Giant, [Burna Boy]. Treats on the way real soon. #CoolestKidInAfrica x #AfricanGiant”
Burna Boy and Nasty C have both worked with a wide array of artists — the former teaming up with the likes of Lily Allen and Dave; and the latter teaming up with the likes of ASAP Ferg and French Montana — and they’ve delivered every single time.
As two of the most exciting African acts currently working today, any collaboration between them will surely be a monster hit. Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long to hear what the coolest kid in Africa and the African giant have cooked up for us
Until then, listen to Burna Boy’s biggest collaboration right now:
