41 Innocent Nigerians Killed In Zamfara In Just One Week

Suspected bandits have reportedly killed no fewer than 41 people in Zamfara State in the past one week. It is reported that 15 persons were killed in Bungudu, six in Birnin Magaji and 20 in Kunkulai village in Magami District, Gusau.

Meanwhile, the five people kidnapped by unknown persons from Government Girls Secondary School, Moriki, Zurmi area of the state on Wednesday night have yet to be released.

Their abductors have yet to establish contacts with their families.

The Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, Major Clement Abiade, told our correspondent that troops had been searching for the abductees.

He said, “We are not relenting. The joint police and army patrol that have been combing bushes, but no clue yet. We have moved our Forward Operation Base closer to the school to prevent a recurrence.”

On Thursday, six herdsmen were ‘ killed’ by an irate mob at the palace of the Emir of Birnin Magaji.
