Anambra firm donates medical supplies to NYSC.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Anambra chapter, has received medical supplies from the Obijackson Group.
The assorted medicines and equipment were delivered to the NYSC at its Permanent Orientation Camp in Mbaukwu/Umuawulu, Awka South Local Government Area (LGA).
Dr Richard Okonkwo, the Chief Medical Director of Obijackson Mother and Child Hospital, Okija, in Ihiala LGA handed the items to the scheme.
Okonkwo said the gesture was part of the organisation’s corporate social responsibility and efforts to enhance the capacity of the scheme to deliver healthcare to corps members and officials on camp.
Okonkwo who was impressed with the NYSC camp clinic in Anambra after a guided tour promised to make the gesture a regular event.
Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, the Coordinator of NYSC in Anambra, received the items in the company of some of the management staff.
Baderinwa expressed gratitude to the group for their kind donations, saying that it would go a long way to improving their service delivery.
She promised that the medical supplies would be judiciously used for the purpose it was meant for.
According to her, the items will be utilised judiciously in handling medical cases in the camp clinic.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the corps members of 2022 Batch A Stream II are currently undergoing orientation courses in the state.
