Since a video of them joyfully dancing to DJ Spinall & Wizkid’s “Nowo” went viral about a year ago, Lagos-based dance crew, Dream Catchers, have received a ton of love from a bunch of the world’s biggest stars, including Rihanna, Cardi B and, most recently, Beyoncé.
The dance crew is comprised of a group of young, underprivileged kids, whose welfare — from their education to their shelter — is being taken care of by the group’s founder, Seyi Oluyole, who uses dance to encourage them to stay in school and better their lives.
Two months ago, Cardi B shared a video of the gifted kids dancing to her Bruno Mars-aided hit, “Please Me”, thanking them for always showing her love, and Beyoncé has now taken to her Instagram account to share a clip of them joining her viral #BeforeILetGoChallenge.
It’s been a week since Beyoncé kicked off the dance challenge — sparked by her cover of the Frankie Beverly & Maze’s classic of the same name — and the Dream Catchers are among the few participants who have had the honour of being featured on the Queen’s meticulously curated account.
