Senator Rochas Okorocha of the Ninth Nigerian National Assembly, who represents the Imo West Senatorial District, has entered the presidential candidacy for 2023.
Mr Okorocha revealed his plans in a letter to Senate President Ahmed Lawan, which was read in plenary on Wednesday.
The legislator further stated that on January 31, he will hold a so-called world press conference at the International Conference Centre in Abuja to lay out his race agenda.
By making the announcement, Mr Okorocha has joined a slew of other hopefuls from the South East, including APC National Leader Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who are all fighting for the top spot in 2023.
