In recent years, there has been a noticeable shift in the genres Nollywood now considers worth exploring, as the industry has moved from merely regurgitating romantic comedies to delivering gripping thrillers, affecting dramas and so much more.

Now, we have a teaser for a new and exciting action film, Ratnik, which further cements our faith in the industry’s growth.

Although the recently released trailer doesn’t really give us an idea of what Ratnik‘s storyline actually is, it reveals enough to show that the film will be tense, action-packed and, most importantly, different — possibly revolving around superheroes and mutants.

The film also has an impressive cast, which includes Bolanle Ninalowo, Osas Ighodaro, Meg Otanwa, Karibi Fubara and more. We can’t wait to get more information about the film, as it looks like nothing we’ve ever seen from Nollywood before.
