After collaborating with Wizkid on one of the most successful songs of all time, “One Dance”, it looks like Drake might have found the next Nigerian star he could work with. We initially thought that might be Tekno, but it seems the Canadian rapper has his sights set on Niniola instead.
Just last week, Drake followed Niniola on Instagram, which got the afro-house star really excited. After this, following a 7-day residency at the 02 Arena, he joined Tiffany Calver as a co-host on BBC Radio 1 Extra, where he specifically requested for Niniola’s “Maradona” to be played.
Drake is no stranger to working with a diverse collection of artists — a move that has led to him being called a culture vulture on more than one occasion — so, while nothing specific has been announced or teased, we wouldn’t be shocked to hear that both stars have hopped in a studio together.
We have our fingers crossed because we know a collab would be fire.
