Back in December, Dammy Krane enlisted a transnational team — Olamide, Pearl Thusi and Medikal — for his 2018 closer, “Balance Well”. After visiting each of these pan-African elites on their home turf, Dammy Krane reunited them, once more, for the song’s video.
The “Balance Well” video begins with Dammy Krane and Pearl Thusi vibing to the song’s lively chorus in an opulent hotel resort. Sunshine and palm trees caress Pearl Thusi’s flawless skin, as Dammy Krane takes command of the hotel’s grand entrance with his animated dancing.
For Olamide’s contribution to the track, we’re taken to a dock in Lagos where we get to watch Dammy Krane and Olamide, both accompanied by the Afrozig dancers, dance through the rapper’s standout verse, before being transported to a popping club with Ghanaian star, Medikal.
Dammy Krane does well to also incorporate the instrumentalists who elevate the track into the song’s accompanying video. The bass guitarist, Fiokee makes an appearance with his plucky strings, as does the gifted Yomi Sax, who plays on the iconic Lekki-Ikoyi bridge.
