Super Eagles winger Moses Simon made his first La Liga start for Levante who spanked Celta Vigo 4-1 at the Municipal de Balaidos on Saturday, reports Completesports.com.
It was the first time this season that the Nigeria international, Simon was featuring for the entire duration of a league game since he joined from KAA Gent last season.
He has made seven La Liga appearances scoring just once.
Goals from Jose Luis Morales in the 20th minute and another header from Coke gave Levante a two goal lead into the break.
Both goals were set up by Ruben Rochina.
At the start of the second half, Morales extended Levante’s lead to 3-0 in the 62nd minute.
Brais Mendez pulled one back for the home team in the 89th minute, but Borja Mayoral put the game beyond the reach of the home team, Celta Vigo.
Moses is expected to be named in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad to face Seychelles in an Africa Nations Cup qualifier on the 23rd of March in Asaba, Delta State.
