An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered that two men who allegedly raped a 13-year-old daughter of their family friend, be remanded in prison, pending legal advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Magistrate B.O. Osunsanmi, ordered that Rasheed Kasali and Isiaka Adisa, be remanded in Kirikiri Prisons.
Osunsanmi ordered that the case file should be sent to the DPP office.
The pleas of the defendants were not taken.
Kasali, 39, who resides at No. 18B Dipo Olubi St., Surulere, while Adisa , 38, lives at No. 11, Tosun St., Itire Ikate , Surulere, Lagos, are facing a charged of rape’

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Insp Raphael Donny, told the court that the defendants committed the offence with two other persons still at large in 2018 at No. 6, Adebayo St., Off Ijesha Road, Surulere, Lagos.
Donny alleged that the defendants sexually assaulted the girl on different occasions, whenever her parents were not around.
Donny said that the girl’s mother reported the case at the police station and the defendants were arrested.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, and carries a life term imprisonment.
