Boko Haram terrorists now steal weapons from Nigerian military and use it to attack citizens.

This was revealed by the Chairman Senate Committee on Army, Ali Ndume.

Ndume, who is the Senator representing Borno South said Boko Haram also gets arms from Chad and Libya.

He disclosed that terrorists resorted to stealing arms from the military due to their desperation to hold on to territories in the Northeast.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today, the lawmaker said the current army is turning the heat on the terrorists.

“The insurgents now are desperate in getting arms and ammunition and the arms they use the ones they succeeded in carting away from Nigerian soldiers and other security forces.

“I know that small arms are coming from Libya and Chad but the bulk of equipment they use are the ones they succeeded in stealing from our armed forces”, he said.
