A couple of weeks ago, Phyno dropped his first solo single of the year, “Agu”. On the track, he raps about all the hard work he’s put in to being where he is today; and now, with the video for the spirited bop, Phyno is visualising the resultant success of his tireless grind.
Directed by Clarence Peters, the video for “Agu” begins with a birds-eye view of a Phyno show, illustrating the huge crowd the rapper typically pulls. Throughout the video, we see more snippets of Phyno performing, tied in with pictures of him recording and networking.
Aside from celebrating his wins, one of the key messages in Phyno’s “Agu” is that he minds his business and focuses on his bag. Therefore, the video for “Agu” also portrays Phyno’s knack for staying in his own lane, capturing the stylish star meditating alone, cruising around in a vintage car.
