Bala Baba, a Special Assistant to Taraba State Deputy Governor, has been kidnapped.

Baba was seized from his residence in Sabon Gari area of Jalingo, the state capital.

The assailants stormed his home early Tuesday morning.

They headed towards Gongon Malik area of Jalingo with their captive.

The Police have confirmed the incident.

Public Relations Officer, Taraba State Command, ASP Reform Leha, said operatives were on the trail of the abductors.

Leha assured residents the the police was on top of the situation.
