Since her breakout hit,  “Askamaya”, Teni has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the Nigerian music industry. As well as her slew of exceptional singles, Teni’s authentic character has also played a part in why she has grown so popular.

Not just on her social media, but in her music too, Teni has shown us multiple aspects of personality. We’ve seen her be goofy, grateful and devoted, but it’s racy Teni — who we last saw on BOJ’s “Obe” — that powers Tee-Y Mix’s new single, “Bilo”.

As the track opens, we are immediately drawn in by the legendary Tee-Y Mix’s incredible production work, which stands out as the song’s strongest element. On the heavy bop, Teni announces that she isn’t looking for any trouble, simply a fling to take home for the night.

Describing her proposed sexual encounter on the chorus, Teni’s virtuous voice dilutes her libidinous lyrics, until the third take, which she peppers with softly-spoken ad libs that seductively reiterate which parts of her body are sensitive to the carnal happenings.
