Abubakar Atiku , the PDP Presidential candidate in the presidential election that took place on March 9th, has filed a petition to challenge President Buhari being declared winner.

Atiku filed the petition before the presidential election tribunal.

The petition was filed before the tribunal in Abuja on Monday, March 18th, and it asked that he, Atiku, be declared the winner of the election or a fresh poll be conducted.

PDP National Legal Adviser, Emmanuel Enoidem, who spoke with journalists, after the petition had been filed said;

“We asked that our candidate who won the election massively across the country be declared the winner. In the alternative, we also asked that the election be set aside on the ground of irregularity which was apparent across the country.

We have also lined up more than 400 witnesses that are going to testify in this petition.
