
Senator Ayo Fasanmi, leader of Yoruba socio-cultural group ‘Afenifere’ is dead at the age of 94.
The Afenifere leader died in Osogbo in the late hours of Wednesday July 29, after a brief illness. The second republic senator’s son, Afolabi who confirmed his death wrote in statement released on Thursday July 30;
“With gratitude to the Almighty God for a life well spent, we wish to announce the demise of our father, Senator Ayo Fasanmi, at the ripe age of 94 years.”
