Andy Ruiz reckons Anthony Joshua is worried about the prospect of leaving Saudi Arabia without the belts when the two go at it for a second time next month.
The Mexican was a shock victor and handed Joshua his first defeat when the pair met at Madison Square Garden.
Since then he has revelled in his victory and left Joshua in no doubt that he is here to stay at the heavyweight’s top table.
The Olympic medalist remains confident he can avenge his reverse in the summer, but Ruiz has told him he will have to bring his A game.
”I think right now he’s pressured, he’s more focused on getting the belts back,” Ruiz told iFL TV.
“I think he’s worried about getting the belts back. But I think he’s in it to win it. He wouldn’t have picked this fight for nothing. Hopefully he brings it December 7 because I’m going to do whatever it takes to retain those belts and bring them back over here.”
