Nigeria’s Super Falcons have promised to rise from their 4-1 loss to Austria and get back to winning ways against Slovakia in their second group match of the 2019 Cyprus International Women’s Cup, Completesports.com reports.
The Super Falcons’ slump against Austria on Wednesday was occasioned by a fifth minute sending off of goalkeeper, Tochukwu Oluehi but Coach Thomas Dennerby’s lasses believe they will fare better today.
They have resolved to put behind them the disappointment of their scandalous opening defeat by Austria in order to put their campaign back on track against another European side.
This pledged is contained in a message on the Super Falcons’ official Twitter handle in which the team’s media department affirmed that the players will bounce back to reckoning against Slovakia.
The Tweet reads: “No hope lost yet, we will fight to bounce back against Slovakia on Friday. #SoarSuperFalcons #CyprusWomensCup #Team9jaStrong #NGAAUT.”
