Joe Aribo was in action for but could not help Southampton avoid a 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Monday.

Southampton have now failed to win any of their six Premier League games (one draw, five defeats) and are in 19th position in the table.

Aribo was introduced into the game before the start of the second half for his fourth league appearance of the season.

His Nigerian teammate Paul Onuachu did not feature as he was an unused substitute.

Onuachu is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League since his return from loan.

Evanilson gave Bournemouth the lead in the 17th minute while Dango Ouattara made it 2-0 on 32 minutes.

Just seven minutes after the second goal, Antoine Semenyo made it 3-0 to Bournemouth.

Southampton pulled a goal back on 51 minutes through Taylor Harwood-Bellis.
