It was either best of return from injury for Bright Osayi-Samuel, as he was sent off in Fenerbahce’s 2-1 win against Union SG in their first game in the Europa League on Thursday.
Osayi-Samuel had been out since August after suffering injury, which saw him miss the last international break with the Super Eagles.
Caglar Soyunku opened the scoring for Fenerbahce in the 26th minute then Union SG was reduced to 10 men after Kevin Mac Allister was shown a straight red card on 74 minutes.
With eight minutes left an own goal by Christian Burgess put Fenerbahce 2-0 ahead.
In the 90th minute Osayi-Samuel, who received a yellow card on 87 minutes was then shown his second yellow card on 90 minutes.
Union SG had the chance to reduce the deficit on 92 minutes but Franjo Ivanovic missed his penalty.
But in the 93rd minute Union SG pulled a goal back through Ross Sykes
