FIBA U-18 African Championship: Nigeria To Arrive South Africa Friday

Nigeria’s basketball team will jet out to South Africa on Friday for the FIBA U-18 African Championship.

A total of 24 players (12 per team) will represent the country at the championship.

The players on the men’s list are Bassey Ekpo Effiong, Ezekiel Oluwatemitope, Sani Samuel, Azeez Sulaimon Olaitan, Daubuna Mutum, John Wilberforce and Precious Jonha.

Others are Duru Augustine Chideru, Abraham Boyce Hart, Kpee Favour Komene, Jovan Ojako Chiebuka, and Favour Ibe Ikedinachukwu.

The women’s team include; Pius Beggi, Shehu Khadijat, John Patience, Hembam Wandoo, Idris Maryam and Tewogbade Mololuwa.

Others are Umeh Amarachi, Isaac Abigail, Ayodeji Olarenwaju, Iwuji Vivian, Samson Favour, and Lijirin Doyinsola.

The winners and runners-up at the tournament will represent Africa at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup in Switzerland.
