Wolfsburg extended their lead in the 75th minute through Luca Waldschmidt’s brilliant goal.
However, Hoffenheim reduced the scoreline to 2-1 in the 93rd minute thanks to an own goal from Josuha Guilavogui.
All efforts by visitor to leveled parity proved abortive as Wolfsburg picked the maximum points.
The win means Wolfsburg sit 6th on 49 points while Hoffenheim sit 14th on 32 points.
