D’Tigers of Nigeria bounced back from the defeat to Côte d’Ivoire to overcome Guinea 89 – 70, in their second game in the second round of the 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.
Going into the clash with Guinea, D’Tigers lost to Côte d’Ivoire 78 – 66 in their first game on Friday.
The Nigerian team took the first quarter by 24 – 15 before both teams ended the second quarter 20 – 20.
The third quarter went to D’Tigers 21 – 15 before taking the fourth quarter also by 10 – 6 to get their campaign going.
Up next for D’Tigers is a big game against Angola which will take place on Sunday.
The Angolans who also played on Saturday, recorded their second win with a 65 – 58 triumph over Cape Verde.
