Chelsea defender Reece James has admitted frustration over his hamstring injury.
The England right-back had to be substituted during the 1-1 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion, whilst he was then spotted leaving Stamford Bridge on crutches, leading to worrying responses from supporters.
He posted to social media yesterday: “Page 365 of 365. Thank you 2021.
“This year has taught me to not postpone enjoyment. Any opportunity in front of you to enjoy yourself, take it with both hands.
“I’ve had many highs & lows this year which I always expect in both life & football. This year has personally been my best and most enjoyable, achieving my dreams of lifting the Champions League, Super Cup and also representing England in a major tournament.
“Unfortunately, I’m ending the year with disappointment having picked up an injury on Wednesday. Hoping it’s nothing too major. I’ll be working as hard as possible to get back on the pitch soon doing what I love.
“Wishing you all nothing but peace, happiness and good health going into 2022!
“Let’s make 2022 a year to remember”
