Manny Pacquiao could retire from boxing if his potential rematch with Floyd Mayweather falls through, his trainer Freddie Roach has revealed, according to Daily Mail.
Pacquiao beat Adrien Broner last month to defend his WBA welterweight belt.
As reported by The Sun, Pacquiao is eager to face Mayweather again having been defeated when they met in 2015.
Although there is a possibility that he could fight Keith Thurman if he doesn’t get to take on Mayweather, Roach admitted that Pacquiao could retire.
Roach told Fight Hub TV: ‘I would think that yes.
‘But the thing is, if we can’t get Floyd we might retire.

‘That’s definitely a possibility, me and Manny talked about it.
‘He really wants Floyd but we’re waiting to see.’
The aforementioned clash between Pacquiao and Mayweather remains the biggest grossing boxing match ever.
It generated a staggering £470million in pay-per-view and gate receipts.
Mayweather retired after beating Andre Berto in 2015.
However, he returned to defeat Conor McGregor in 2017 and recently got the better of Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa.
