Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo missed Sunday’s Scottish Premiership away clash against Livingston due to injury, Completesports.com reports.

Aribo picked up a knock in the Gers midweek win against St Johnstone and failed to recover in time for the trip to Livingston.

The Nigerian international scored his side’s third goal of the game, his first of the campaign.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard hopes the midfielder will be back fit for home game against Kilmarnock next weekend.

“He (Aribo) is got a little knock, we’re hoping to have him available next weekend but it was too risky to do today,” Gerrard stated before the game.

The former Charlton Athletic star featured in Rangers’ previous three league games this season.

His international team-mate Leon Balogun also missed the game as a result of injury picked up in the game against St Johnstone.
