Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong is optimistic Udinese will get the much needed result in his absence against Cagliari on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
Troost-Ekong will miss the Serie A clash due to suspension.
The centre-back was cautioned in Thursday’s 2-1 home win against champions Juventus at the Dacia Arena.
The 26-year-old received a yellow card from centre referee Massimiliano Irrati for a clumsy challenge on Aaron Ramsey in the 20th minute.

Troost-Ekong disputes the caution but believes that without him, the Little Zebras will get a positive result while hoping to be back for the next game against Leece.
“In my opinion it was not a serious foul to have warranted a caution, however, I have confidence in the team and I know they can do it even without me,” he told the club’s official website.
“On the other hand, I hope to be able to help them in the challenge against Lecce.”
“Luca Gotti’s side occupy 15th position on the table with 39 points from 35 league games.
