Alex Iwobi could be set for a cameo role in Monday’s Premier League match between Everton and Sheffield United even as the Toffees boss, Carlo Ancelotti ponders team’s games in his debut season in selection changes.

According to a report on skysports.com , Ancelotti could offer Theo Walcott a starting shirt in place of Iwobi against the Blades in the game which holds at Bramall Lane.

skysports.com wrote: “Winger, Theo Walcott is likely to replace Alex Iwobi in midfield while there could be a change up front as Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not scored in eight matches.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian forward, Iwobi made his games across all 125th overall appearance in the English Premier League when Everton played host to Aston Villa at Goodison Park on Thursday night.

Iwobi played 100 EPL games for former dub, Arsenal for whom he scored eleven goals and weighed in with another 16 assists before leaving the Gunners in the summer of 2019.

The breakdown shows that the Super Eagles attacker scored two EPL goals in 13 games in his debut season in 2015/16, thrice in 26 outings in both the 2016/17 and 2017/18 terms.

During the 2018/19 EPL campaign, Iwobi found the back of the net on another three occasions in 35 appearances for Arsenal before leaving the North London outfit for Everton.

He joined Everton for £27.36m last summer but has struggled to have much impact in his first season, having contributed just two goals and an assist in 28 games across all competitions.

Iwobi was replaced by Walcott in the 62nd minute and has netted once in 25 EPL games while his goal drought extended to 23 matches on Thursday when Everton drew 1-1 with Villa.
