Nigeria winger Henry Onyekuru says it was difficult to bid Galatasaray fans goodbye after coming to the end of his loan spell at the club, reports Completesports.com.
Onyekuru returned to his parent club Monaco on Saturday after the Ligue 1 club turned down Galatasaray’s offer to extend his loan deal until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old joined Galatasaray on a six-month loan deal in January.

“I can’t thank @galatasaray enough for the love during my second spell at the club,” Onyekuru wrote on Instagram.
“What makes this difficult is that I couldn’t experience my final days with the supporters who have shown me so much love and made me feel at home since the first time I came here.
“You are forever in my heart and I will forever be a ‘gala’. Until we meet again…Cimbon!”
Onyekuru scored one goal in 10 league appearances for the Super Lig champions.
