Some of the current Super Eagles players alongside a few other Nigerian ex-internationals celebrated this year’s Fathers’ day
which took place on Sunday by posting on the social media.
The likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong, Odion Ighalo, Joseph Yobo, Vincent Enyeama, Chidiebere Nwakali and Stephen Eze all made posts on Twitter and Instagram in celebration of the special day.
Leicester City midfielder, Ndidi tweeted alongside a lovely picture of himself carrying his little daughter whom his wife gave birth to a few weeks ago: “Happy Father’s Day.”
Udinese defender, Troost-Ekong wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to all dads! Special mention to all my peers doing their best without a blueprint. There’s nothing cooler/better than seeing you all being the best dads/co-parents you can be.”

Manchester Uniter striker, Ighalo tweeted: “Happy Father’s Day.” Jude Ighalo Fans tweeted: “A father to the fatherless. Happy Father’s Day @ighalojude God bless you greatly.
Nantes attacking sensation, Simon tweeted on his verified Twitter handle: “HAPPY FATHERS DAY MY PEOPLE,” with the post coming
alongside a picture of himself and his daughter.
Former goalkeeper, Enyeama wrote on Instagram: “Thanks a lot to my awesome wife, Promise Vincent. You and your wonderful babies make me a very happy father. God bless you and your household. God bless all the fathers out there, we rock guys.”
Ex-defender, Yobo posted on Instagram: “Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers out there. Proud Dad. Daddy is the one to always carry her bag (referring to the fact that he carried his daughter’s bag in the picture).”
Under-17 World Cup winner, Nwakali penned an emotional note to his late father: “Happy Father’s day to the man who brought me
to life, Mr. Nwakali a.k.a OKWUTE.
