The Attorney General Alliance -Africa Alliance Partnership (AGA-AAP) has named John Edozie as International Advisor.
In a statement sent to the press, board members said John’s steadfastness, patience, integrity, commitment, and dedication to the cause of promoting the Rule of Law & International Cooperation, earned him the appointment.
“We are happy to have someone of John Edozie’s caliber and experience step up as the AGA-AAP International Advisor,” said Karen. “World events are at critical levels, and we need experienced leadership to successfully implement our strategy, take advantage of modern technologies and blend it with legal advisory opportunities as we go ahead. John is a legal visionary with a proven track record of success. He is knowledgeable of laws concerning cross-border crimes, and a great communicator who is enshrined with deep leadership abilities. Furthermore, as a former member of the Nigerian Lawyers Association’s board of directors for many years, John has a solid understanding of our need for his unique set of skills.”
John, who is a founding member of the Nigerian Lawyer Association, USA, and nominated as NLA’s first president in 1990, expressed his gratitude and delight at his appointment. He thanked the board for deeming him fit for service as International Advisor. John said, “I am honored and excited about the appointment. I believe transnational crimes, such as human trafficking, trafficking in firearms, drug trafficking, money laundering, child pornography, internet crimes, and corruption, do not respect borders, laws, or people. Addressing these crimes comprehensively, swiftly, and effectively is required to give meaning to justice, the rule of law, and respect for human rights, the country, and the world.”
John Edozie is the first Nigerian to be appointed to this role. An accomplished attorney, and a founding partner of the Law Firm of Madu, Edozie, and Madu, where he has practiced for over 30years.
