Oniba of Iba-Elect Joins Youth in Community Clean-up Exercise

Dr. Sulaiman Adesina, Oniba of Iba-Elect, has described the environmental sanitation programme organized by youths of Iba community in Lagos as a necessity, timely as there have been predictions of heavy flood in the country this season which cleaning up drainages could help reduce.

The monarch-elect showered encomiums on the community youths for thinking out of the box in making meaningful contribution to the development of the community.

Oniba said iba youths of those times are different from now as they are thinking on positive development in the community rather than wrecking havoc and at the same time disturbing the peace of the community.

Meanwhile, Sulaiman reiterated the need for a secondary school and a market for the community, citing the instance of the fact that none of them had their secondary school within the community.

Speaking also, Iba Community Youth Leader, Chief Lamidi Oseni explained that the programme is a joint efforts of the youths in the community in order to have a safe and clean environment.

Lamidi noted the imperativeness of the environmental cleaning as health is a sine qua non to wealth.

The Leader emphasized the sustainability of the environmental cleaning as the community youths are in one accord in supporting the incoming ruler to achieve a smooth operation.

While speaking on the security of the community, The Leader said that effective collaboration between the youths and the leaders in the community has been the major driver of the rancour-free situation in the community; hence, peace and tranquility.
