Two weeks ago, we reported that Nike is set to design a new kit for the Super Eagles. With talks between the company and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) concluded, we now know that Alex Iwobi and Wilfred Ndidi will preview the new kit design before Nike starts production.
You will recall that Kelechi Iheanacho joined Iwobi and Ndidi in launching the Super Eagles’ World Cup kit last year. With a little help from Wizkid and others, they helped show that the kit embodies the “audacious, fast, fun and stylish” spirit of Nigeria.
As anticipation for the new kit builds, fans are expecting a design that’s nothing short of mind-blowing. So, it’s expected that Iwobi and Ndidi will draw from the reaction they got as faces of the World Cup kit to contribute to another stellar design.
Daily Cannon reports that the preview of the new kit will take place at a ceremony in London. Once that is done, Nike can then release it to the public for sale in July 2020.
