There’s no doubt that Premier League clubs love fast players because, as we all know, speed is incredibly essential in football. When it comes to Manchester United, it has just been revealed that Nigeria-born Deji Sotana is packing the most speed at the club.

Daily Mail reports that the club recently held tests at their training base, and the 16-year-old clocked an amazing 22.9 miles per hour. That’s exactly the same time Gareth Bale clocked when a 2015 FIFA-backed report named him the fastest player in the world.

With the trio of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Daniel James at Manchester United, you would think the club already has all the speed it needs currently to bring down any defence. Now, add Sotana to that equation, and it certainly becomes mind-blowing.

The little hurdle, however, is that Sotana currently plays for United’s under-18 side, but we suspect that won’t be the case for too long. With his impressive speed, he’ll certainly soon run his way onto the senior team, and, if we are lucky, the Super Eagles team as well.
